Phone Call to Wedding in 45 Minutes
Dwaun and Andrea started dating in high school in Oregon. He nows serves our country in the US Navy. On Tuesday, he will deploy to see from his base in Everett. They got their marriage license last Tuesday and called me up on Friday (the three day waiting period completed) and asked if I could conduct their elopement that morning so they could get everything filed before the end of the day (and, therefore, before he deploys on Tuesday morning after the long holiday weekend). They made the call to me from Everett at 9:45 AM. I gave them directions to my office and contacted two witnesses. We all converged in Bothell for a ceremony that started at 10:30 AM, a mere 45 minutes after the initial phone call!
Thanks to Dwaun for his service, and to Andrea as a military spouse. Best wishes to you both!
