On July 31, 1983, Bruce and Shelly kissed goodbye in the driveway of Bruce's parents home in Albany, OR.  He handed her a letter proclaiming his love forever.  Well, in the intervening years, starting with his enlistment in the Navy starting that next day, they had gone their separate ways until they met on Facebook last summer.  Twenty-seven years later they shared another set of proclamations (we call them vows) and another kiss.  On August 1, 2010, in my living room, Bruce and Shelly shared their vows and became husband and wife.

By the way, the letter Bruce had handed Shelly those 27 years ago -- she still had it.  It was present at the small ceremony.
